Panathinaikos to face Dinamo Tbilisi

Faroese side NSI Runavik overcame their Georgian opponents FC Dinamo Tbilisi with a 1-0 in the second leg of their 1st Qualifying Round tie. However the win was not enough to see the Faroese side advance to the 2nd Round, the 3-0 loss suffered a week ago in Georgia was far too steep a hill to climb for Runavik.

With the 3-1 aggregate win, FC Dinamo Tbilisi will now face Greek club Panathinaikos in the 2nd Qualifying Round. Panathinaikos are one of the 14 clubs entering the Champions League mix in the 2nd Qualifying. PAO are favourites to qualify and progress to the third round, where a high coefficient ranking could see them face weaker opponents.

The The 2nd Qualifying Round lineups will be finalized tomorrow as 9 teams await to book their ticket into the next round. The first leg is set to begin on July 29th.
