Fernando Santos wants Greece job

December 3rd, 2008 | By: Peter Katsiris | No Comments »

PAOK manager Fernando Santos admitted his desires to one day takeover the reigns of the Greek National Team. With the job not in any question whatsoever, it appears Santos is looking to line himself up as a future boss of the Greek national team.

“I would want to take over at the helm of the Greek national team only after Rehhagel steps down,” Santos told the Portuguese press.

The experienced Super League manager has been at the helm of PAOK for two years now, but this current campaign has seen the Portuguese manager fall into the lime light.

“In my first season at PAOK, we had agreed to take things one at a time and put them in the right order. Our goal this year is to earn a UEFA Cup spot, whereas next season our goal will be a Champions League spot.”
